The USPS has recently made a few recent changes that direct marketers should be aware of. They have recently increased the cost in postage for all mailers and delivery speeds from postcards, letters, & more for both first class postage and standard class postage. In addition, the USPS has made positive updates on the delivery speeds of certain postcard sizes.

Before this recent change, postcards sized 4x6 were able to be mailed with first class postage at price of $0.285 for each postcard. Any postcard larger than 4x6 would have to mail at a rate of $0.304 for standard class and $0.45 for first class postage. First class postage takes 3-5 days and standard class takes 1-2 weeks.

Now, the USPS allows any postcard sized 6x9 & under to be mailed as first class postage with the postage rate of $0.326. Direct marketers can now take advantage of this sped of delivery time to reach prospects across the US in expedited delivery times. In addition, you can now easily upgrade the size of your postcards to grab the attention of your recipients at a higher rate.
